In the comfort of the art studio we will start with an indoor orientation and several helpful painting exercises. This will insure we get the basics down and get us ready for the road. We will then venture outdoors to several wonderful northern Colorado locations to master the joys (and challenges) of painting on location. This class is open to all levels of experience. The course will include:
- painting progression
- demonstrations
- solid compositional decisions
- good color choices and palette management
- dealing with changing light
- finishing a painting in a short amount of time
- demos in oils, but those well-versed in other mediums are welcome.
