Painting Water, Reflections and Rocks- Rocks look like potatos? This class is the fix!
On day one we will practice quick sketching, color mixing, and texture techniques to capture the unique qualities of different rock forms. On day two we will work on the many personalities of active and still water with its movement and reflections. We combine our new skills by creating a complete landscape painting that features both rocks and water.

Taking a class from Jeanne Mackenzie is more than an art class. It is a class on how to see things. The ‘Painting Water, Reflections and Rocks’ class showed us how to see the difference between cast shadows and reflections on the water, how to see the colors in shadows and how subtle changes in perspective make a difference. This is a class on SEEing, and Jeanne is an excellent guide. Loved it!!
Jeanne Mackenzie’s art classes are frankly amazing. She is not only a very accomplished artist, but she is a very, very good teacher. She provides so much information and pairs it with structured exercises for you to practice what she is teaching and suddenly you GET it.
